Setting up a Trigger

To set up a trigger of a certain profile, follow the instructions below:

  1. In the Analyze Application dialog box click Manage Profiles… or click the Intel® GPA Monitor icon Intel Graphics Performance Analyzers m icon Setting up a Trigger in the taskbar notification area and select Profiles….
  2. In the Profiles window select the profile you want to modify.
  3. Go to the Trigger tab and check the Enable Trigger check box to enable the triggers option.
  4. In the Trigger field configure the following settings:
    • Metric: select the metric that causes the trigger

    • Condition: select the required condition and set its value

    • Capture: select the type of capture file to generate:

      • Frame Capture
      • Trace Capture

      • Frame and Trace Capture

    • Action: select an actions to take after capture:

      • Nothing

      • Pause

      • Terminate Application

    • Retrigger Delay: set the value for the number of seconds this trigger should be suppressed following a previous trigger. Retrigger Delay provides time for the capture file to be written to disk, and helps avoid a subsequent inappropriate trigger.

  5. If you want to perform the selected action even when state overrides are enabled, select the Trigger enabled even when HUD state override enabled check box in the Exceptions field.
  6. Click OK.
