About the Task Timeline
When you start the Intel® GPA Platform Analyzer for the first time, the Task Timeline panel displays tracks in the following order:

Time Ruler -
Logical Tracks, such as DX CPU Thread, DX GPU Thread, and any custom or queue tasks.

Aggregate Track
-
Software Thread View
-
Hardware Thread View
You can use the Task Timeline for task selection with the mouse and for visual analysis of instrumented software running on a multi-core system.
