I See Lots of Traced Data – Where Is the Majority of Time Being Spent?
To understand where time is being spent across a large set of software tasks, do the following:

With the mouse, select any set of tasks in the Task Timeline.

Refer to the Summary panel, which shows the total duration for each set of like-named tasks within the selected set.

Sort the items by duration.

To drill-down into the task that is taking the most time, expand the node for that task. If the node cannot be expanded and if more granular data is needed, refer back to your source code and add more instrumentation then re-run your code and capture a new trace. Also examine the Hardware Thread View if available to see if another process or unexpected idle time is a factor.
