Capturing a Specific Frame/Trace File in the Application

You can inspect dynamic effects such as lighting, explosion, or particles, frame by frame.

To find a specific spot in your target application and capture a frame/trace for further detailed effect analysis:

  1. Launch the application.

  2. When you are close to the location that you wish to inspect, use the keyboard shortcut to pause the application. By default, the keyboard shortcut is Ctrl+Shift+P.

  3. Press the default Ctrl+Shift+N to advance one frame. Repeat until you find the frame you wish to capture.

  4. Press the default Ctrl+Shift+C to capture the frame or Ctrl+Shift+T to capture the trace file.

NOTE

When you capture the frame file from the paused state, the tile renders the next frame and then returns to the paused state.
